Gut loading is the process by which an animal's prey is raised an fed nutritious foods with the intention of passing those nutrients to the animal for which the prey is intended.

Gut loading provides assurance that you are feeding your pet nutrient-dense insects which can help prevent serious issues from developing due to malnutrition. A calcium supplement should also be incorporated by "dusting" your prey with calcium and multivitamins prior to feeding your pet.

What is Gut Loading?

- Live prey will ultimately defend itself to the death if need be. Your pet is at risk of serious infection or possibly even death from bites and scratches.
